All Paintings in this Exhibit are SOLD

Bonjour Everyone, I am happy to present here my Spring exhibit of paintings for the pleasure of your eyes after this long winter. I hope you come back to Avignon and our Provencal sun soon.
I have worked on three basic themes in this series. The first is what I call “Deco”, which are images and colors that bring a sense of freshness into a room where the paintings are hung. Paintings #5 and #8 here with their white and light colors best represent “Deco”. The second theme is my usual “Provence” work whose images of sun-filled landscapes of tiled rooftop villages, olive trees, poppy flowers, and lavender fields are the symbols of the land "terre Provencal", my native region of France. And the third theme is what I call “People” paintings. Here I depict people in emotional instants of life, where their body language expresses deep feelings and a personal story. Paintings #15 and #20 represent this theme for me. --Isabelle Vavasseur
