Transform Your Photo into a Painting

Isabelle Vavasseur is more than happy to paint a picture for you from a photo, knowing it is in some way special to you. The photo could be your home or a particular landscape where you live, a captured moment with your child or loved one, a portrait of a friend, an animal companion, a scene from a trip, a spring garden, or even a favorite interior setting.

One assumes that a good photo of an occasion or subject is all you need for its memory. A photo certainly documents an occasion or subject, but there is something missing in the gap between the medium and the viewer. A painting, on the other hand, can reach across that gap to convey an impression to the viewer that a photo cannot. Moreover, a painting has that special ability to enhance the beauty of an entire room whereas a photo is only a tiny memento at best.

Photos-to-Paintings

The rooftops of Florence's painted from a client's photo during a memorable trip, 80x100 cm (31.5x39.4 in).

The stain-glass windows and organ of Saint-Chapelle in Paris done from a client's photo, 60x90 cm (23.5x35.4 in).

No Risk Policy
If you are interested in ordering a commission, there's more good news: Isabelle offers a no-risk policy. That means you are under no obligation to purchase the final result if it does not meet your expectations. No questions asked, period.

How to get an estimate
Follow these simple steps:
1) Send the photo you want a painting of (perferably in jpg format) to d.shibut@free.fr (if you want, tell Isabelle why it is important to you.)
2) State what size you want the painting to be, either in inches or centimeters.
3) Include your contact information especially your name, address, country, e-mail address, and telephone number.

Last step
We will send you a total price for the painting that includes shipping, insurance, and handling. If you are in agreement, Isabelle asks you to then send her an enlarged paper print of your photo (at least 5x7" or 8x10"). This ensures that she sees all the details in the image.

All the best,
